On 12 October Kaunas University of Applied Sciences will be hosting the 7th international conference “Innovative (Eco-)Technology, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development” (IECOTERD). The conference will be held online. The speakers of the conference are scientists and professionals in their fields from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Sakartwell, Belgium, Spain and the United States.

The main goal of IECOTERD is to promote scientific discussion and share ideas about technological innovations, eco-innovations and technology-based entrepreneurship as drivers for economic growth and social change in regions.

There will be four presentations in the plenary session of the conference. The first speaker Gintaras Vilda is an engineer, prophet of manufacturing innovations and international innovation expert of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, Director of the Manufacturing Innovation Valley. He will introduce to participants manufacturing innovations and innovation ecosystems for startups.

Prof. dr. Žaneta Stasiškienė, director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering under Kaunas University of Technology will present how the combination of circular economy and industry 4.0 can contribute towards achieving sustainable development goals.

The third conference speaker is an entrepreneur, researcher, visiting lecturer in foreign countries Aleksandro Montanha, who will speak about artificial intelligence and smart cities.

The last presentation about sustainable innovation in the global airline industry will be given by Joint Professor of Geography and Business at UNC-Greensboro, member of the Coleman Foundation, author of more than 80 scientific publications prof. dr. Keith G. Debbage.

There will be six sessions in the conference during which professionals will share their knowledge about the use of information technology in business, tourism and education areas; agro-innovation and landscape issues; food technology; IT solutions for sustainable development; materials engineering and others.

Attendance fee is 40 euro
