Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) announces public competitions for academic positions (associate professor, assistant professor, senior lecturer, lecturer). The deadline for applicants to submit their documents is 31 March 2025.

Academic positions are open for a 5-year term of office by public competition. The job starts on 1 September 2025. The applicants who meet the qualification requirements set for the academic staff, approved by the Kauno kolegija Academic Council are kindly invited to apply (the Description of the procedure for organising competitions for academic positions, certifying and assessing the performance of the academic staff, and establishing qualification and certification requirements).

THE LIST OF THE POSITIONS OFFERED FOR THE COMPETITION:

Faculty of Arts and Education
Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Technologies
Faculty of Business
Alytus Faculty

The applicants must submit the following documents:

    • an application to be admitted to the competition according to the form provided (template);
    • a curriculum vitae (CV);
    • proof(s) of education and copies thereof (where no data of education are available in the KK HR system)*;
    • a summary of the academic performance according to the form provided (summary_ associate_professor; summary_associate_professor_recognised artist; summary_ assistant_professor; summary_ assistant_professor_recognised artist; summary_senior_lecturer; summary_ senior_lecturer_recognised artist; summary_lecturer);
    • a list of scientific, contractual, and methodological papers published in the last 5 years (For external applicants, in the case of a printed book, copies of the title pages, introduction, and contents must be provided (the original may be submitted for a review at the sitting and returned to the applicant after it); in the case of an e-book, copies of the title pages, introduction, and contents, and the internet link; in the case of an article, a copy of it. To prove the results of methodological, scientific, and art activities of the KK academic staff, the list of publications and art production, certified by the signature of a representative of the Library and Scientific Communication Centre, must be submitted);
    • an action plan for the 5-year term of office according to the form provided (template);
    • a document certifying the level of competency in a foreign language (this is not required in case the degree is in a foreign language);
    • a declaration of possessing the competencies required for the specific research profile (declaration_associate_professor; declaration_assistant_professor);
    • other documents justifying scientific and academic activity or qualifications (at the applicant’s choice).

Applicants’ documents are accepted at the Human Resources Unit (Pramonės pr. 20, Kaunas, Room 1-026 and Room 1-063 on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (lunch break 12.00 to 12.30)) or by sending them by registered mail or courier service to VšĮ Kauno kolegija, Žmogiškųjų išteklių skyrius, Pramonės pr. 20, LT-50468 Kaunas, indicating “For the competition for an academic position”, or by sending them to the email address personalas@kaunokolegija.lt.

The competition board meetings are planned from 19/05/2025 to 27/06/2025.

The documents must be submitted no later than 31/03/2025.

Please note that the personal data submitted by applicants shall be processed for the purposes of organising and administrating the competition and shall be preserved for no longer than necessary to ensure proper organisation and administration of the competition.

The salary offered (per full-time position before taxes):
Associate professor – 3124,45 Eur – 3570,80 Eur
Assistant professor – 2767,37 Eur – 3213,72 Eur
Senior lecturer – 2321,02 Eur – 2588,83 Eur
Lecturer – 2142,48 Eur – 2410,29 Eur

*The full-time equivalent for the position can be subject to adjustment when concluding the contract.

Documents confirming education or, for example, teaching or professional experience, and are issued by other institutions must be translated to Lithuanian. The translation must be signed by the translator and stamped by the translation agency.
