After meetings with specialists, employees will be invited to informal discussions over a cup of tea or coffee. S. Juraitė says that this will provide an opportunity to foster community, and to get to know the colleagues better, especially those who work in different academic departments.

Prayer, silence and meditation

Prof E. Laurinaitis’ lecture also became a symbolic opening of the prayer, silence and meditation room.

‘We wanted to create a space where people can come to relax from tension and stress, where they can be in silence, practice calming and relaxation practices, seek peace and inner balance, focus, meditate or pray,’ shares S. Juraitė, who took care of the arrangement of this space.

She also notes that this room is also equipped to meet the needs of students from abroad.

‘For our international students who profess different religions, it is also a great opportunity to have a quiet place and not to neglect their usual traditions and prayer practices, even when they are far from their hometown, says S. Juraitė.

She also points out that different religions and beliefs are recognized and respected in the Prayer, silence and meditation room, so different religious symbols are not left in this room – they can be used when you come in and taken out when leaving.

The prayer, silence and meditation room is located on Pramonės avenue 22A, room 409.
