On 12–16 February, lecturers of the Rehabilitation Department (Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI), Faculty of Medicine) Dr Laura Žlibinaitė and Dr Vaida Borkertienė at the International Week organised by LAB University of Applied Sciences in Finland, the theme of which is Empowering Higher Education: Synergy of Scientific Research, Development and Education.

During the visit, lecturers gave lectures to the students of the Physiotherapy study programme, made connections with foreign partners and presented the scientific and project activities carried out in the Department of Rehabilitation. The experiences of organising Physiotherapy studies were also shared and study plans and the development of internationality were discussed.

The lecturers invited students to join the international training organised in the Rehabilitation Department,and to participate in the international student conference. Social partners were presented with future projects and were invited to participate in the International Week organised by Kauno kolegija HEI in May.

During the International Week, the lecturers had the opportunity to visit the branches of the LAB University of Applied Sciences in the cities of Lappeenranta and Lahti, to look around the science laboratories and get acquainted with the implemented projects, to discuss the similarities and differences of the Physiotherapy study programme. During the visit, the cooperation agreement between the institutions was not only renewed, but also the possibilities of further cooperation were discussed.
