Healing gardens? What is that? What kind of spice herbs refugees would love to growth at the Refugees’ Reception Centre in Rukla? What it means to be refugee? Those are just very few of questions that were asked during Intensive course “Healing greenery” organized by Kauno kolegija. Intensive course is part of Nordplus network “Healing greenery” No. NPHE-2017/10330 activities. Programme was organized for one week from 9th till 13th of April 2018.

Looking for answers to those and many other questions, working in multidisciplinary and international groups preparing Green Care areas projects were main activities. Students were attended lectures, twice visited Refugees’ Reception Centre in Rukla where interviewed refugees and staff of Centre as well as were working on drawings of areas. Final projects were presented at Centre too.

Organizers want to express special gratitude to staff of Refugees’ Reception Centre in Rukla as well as to students and teachers from Laane-Viru College (Estonia), Estonian University of Life Sciences (Estonia) and Savonia University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
