Next week, on 26-27th of April, the international scientific-practical conference “Innovations in Publishing, Printing and Multimedia Technologies, IPPMT“ will be held at the Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, which is being organized for the 15th time by the Multimedia Technology Department of the Faculty of Technologies. Conference thematic areas of focus: computer design, advertising and publishing, graphic and digital media, movies and animation, visual communication production for television, internet, social networks, etc. This year, representatives of the fields of science and business from the USA, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Mexico and Lithuania will gather and share their experience at the forum, which will be held for two days.
About the conference programme
Sean Branagan, Head of the Centre for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University (USA), will deliver a report on the future of social media and the creative economy in the plenary session of the first day of the conference – 26th of April, which will be held at Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution. Meanwhile, Christian Greim, a representative of the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences (Germany), will examine the problems that people face in the environment of technological innovation. California Polytechnic State University (USA) professor Dr. Kenneth L. Macro, Jr. will present the experience of developing graphic communication study programmes in North American universities, and the guest Dr. Csaba Horvath from Obuda University (Hungary) will talk about books that will reach Europe in the future.
At the end of the plenary session, the conference participants will receive reports that will be read in the virtual space/. First of all, the attention of the participants will be focused on Anastasios E. Politis (Greece), the president of the international association International Circle of Educational Institutes for Graphic Media Technology and Management, ICEIGMTM, which unites higher education institutions conducting media studies from more than 60 countries over the world. Later, there will be presentations of research results by guests from Ukraine, Turkey, and Hungary, also a presentation by animation artist Vladislav Berežok from Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution on the impact of artificial intelligence on media culture and art. After the break, the conference will return to the premises of the Kauno kolegija, where the ongoing research and related insights will be presented by participants from Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. Conference participants will also be invited to exhibitions of the design pieces of Laima Numavičė and Vilūnė Grigaitė, lecturers of the Multimedia Technology Department.
On 27th of April – the second day of the conference – events for high school and university students will be held in the Kauno kolegija auditoriums: the lecturers of the Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (Belgium) Glenn D’Hondt and Ann Dehaemers will share their experience on the development of creativity and the use of colour palette for packaging design; Regina Delfino and Rui Proenca, lecturers at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (Portugal), will present editorial design and digital publishing. There will be a virtual presentation of short movies created by students (led by Roberto Valdes Tena (Mexico) and a lecture of Professor Kevin Howel of Appalachian State University (USA) on creating self-promotional materials using “HP Mosaic”. Registration for the audience
We remind you that the listeners of the conference need to register in advance. You can register for the conference here. Registration will take place until 24th of April. Registration is considered to have taken place after Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution receives payment for participation. The fee for listeners and participants is 50 euros. Submission of articles for review and publication is available until 30th of April. Please send the articles by e-mail konferencija.md@go.kauko.lt. The conference material will be published in the peer-reviewed publication “Innovations in Publishing, Printing and Multimedia Technologies 2023“ (ISSN 2029-4638).
