The 15th “ArtVilnius’24”, the largest contemporary art fair in the Baltic States, in which more than 300 artists, 67 contemporary art galleries, and 15 institutions from 14 countries participated, has come to an end, but the impressions will remain for a long time.
The impressions of this year’s art fair are especially joyful for the “Owl Hill” gallery of the Academy of Arts of the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) and the lecturers of the academy, artist Arvydas Martinaitis, Laura Slavinskaitė and glass artist Artūras Rimkevičius, who represented it. The artwork of all three artists received a lot of attention from the visitors of the event, and the artworks found new homes.
‘We thank the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija HEI for the opportunity to represent the “Owl Hill” gallery. After the art fair, I was very tired, but I had enough inspiration for a long time. We are also happy with the several sales that have taken place and the connections we have made,’ shares L. Slavinskaitė.
‘It is nice that representatives of our faculty participate in the “ArtVilnius” art fair every year. This year, we are grateful to A. Martinaitis, L. Slavinskaitė and A. Rimkevičius, who ensured a good mood and interesting conversations surrounded by works of art,’ says Albertas Juodeika, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education.
