The fourth and last newsletter of the Erasmus+ project “Quality of Virtual Studies” (QVS) coordinated by Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) has been published. The international project “Quality of Virtual Studies” aims to improve the quality of virtual studies, and in order to implement this goal, a team of partners from Lithuania, Spain, Croatia, Finland and the United Kingdom has been assembled.

The two-year project ended on 31 May 2023. During the project implementation period, all planned activities were completed: international trainings were organized in the United Kingdom for teachers of project partner institutions on more effective use of Moodle tools in virtual studies; 4 international interdisciplinary virtual modules were created, which were tested by more than 80 students of partner institutions; additional official project page was created, where educational materials were uploaded; an article about the project’s activities and achieved results was published on the Lithuanian news portal “Kas vyksta Kaune”; 4 project newsletters, two intellectual products “VMA training and assessment methods analysis report” and “Training and assessment guidelines in the virtual in the training environment” with translations into the national languages of the partner countries were published, and the creation of the last intellectual product is being completed – educational video material on the effectiveness of using virtual tools in the training process, which will soon be made public on the project’s YouTube channel.

All information about the project and the created intellectual products are publicly available on the project’s web pages https://www.kaunokolegija.lt/en/quality-of-virtual-studies/ and https://www.qualityofvirtualstudies.org/, Kauno kolegija HEI’s virtual library and the eLABa virtual library, as well as the open access repository ZENODO.

On May 16th the project was concluded by the final conference held at Kauno kolegija HEI, during which the project activities and results were presented to the academic community and external stakeholders. A space was created for further discussion where the experts from Lithuania and abroad shared examples of best practice, challenges and valuable advice on pedagogical and technical aspects of virtual learning.

The intellectual products created during the QVS project will help to familiarize the employees of the education sector with pedagogical methods and innovative tools of virtual learning, which will help to increase the accessibility of studies, the motivation level of learners and improve the overall quality of virtual studies.
