The beginning of the autumn semester for students of all courses is scheduled for 1 September 2021. It is planned to organize the studies in a non-remote manner. If necessary, part of the study sessions will be conducted remotely. Decisions on the organization of studies in a remote or non-remote manner are made by the responsible employees of the departments of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences (KUAS).

In accordance with the study procedure of KUAS, study schedules will be published no later than one week before the beginning of the semester. The information provided in the study schedules does not change – the name of the study subject, students’ academic group, contact work time, duration, place and lecturer will be indicated. Schedules will be published in the “Moodle” virtual learning environment.

In order to ensure the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) disease, KUAS shall control the access of persons to KUAS premises by installing access checkpoints.

  1. The working hours of the checkpoints are from 7.30 am. to 9 p.m.
  2. During the working hours of the checkpoints, the authorized persons shall carry out the screening and allow access to KUAS premises only to those persons who meet one of the following criteria:

2.1.      the person has been vaccinated with one of the following vaccines against COVID-19 (coronavirus infection):

2.1.1.   one week after receiving the second dose of “Comirnaty” or “Spikevax” vaccine administered under the vaccination schedule, except the cases provided in Sub-paragraph 3.1.5;

2.1.2.  2 weeks after the vaccination with “COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen”;

2.1.3.  4 weeks after the first dose of “Vaxzevria” (but not later than 13 weeks), except the cases provided in Sub-paragraph 3.1.5;

2.1.4.  after the second dose of “Vaxzevria” vaccine administered under the vaccination schedule;

2.1.5.   2 weeks after a single dose of “Comirnaty”, “Spikevax” or “Vaxzevria” for a person who has recovered from the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) confirmed by a positive SARS-CoV-2 PCR test;

2.1.6.   one week after the administration of the second dose of “Comirnaty” or “Vaxzevria”, if the first dose of vaccine was “Vaxzevria” and the second dose was “Comirnaty” or vice versa;

2.2.      the person has recovered from the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) and:

2.2.1.   the diagnosis has been confirmed on the basis of a positive SARS-CoV-2 PCR test or an antigen test, and no more than 210 days have elapsed since the positive result (but not earlier than the end of the isolation period), or

2.2.2.   the person has received (less than 60 days ago) a positive (with anti-S, anti-S1 or anti-RBD IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2) quantitative or semi-quantitative serological immunological test, unless the serological test is performed after administering the COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) vaccine;

2.3.      the person who has taken the COVID-19 test and received a negative result not earlier than 48 hours (from the time of testing) after taking the SARS-CoV-2 PCR test or antigen test;

2.4.      is a child under 16 years of age;

2.5.     is KUAS employee (requirements for employees are established by a separate order of the director).

Students who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 disease or who do not have had the COVID-19 disease must take the SARS-CoV-2 test every 7 to 10 days in order to attend contact study sessions.

3. Residents have the right to enter KUAS dormitories (checkpoints are specified in Sub-paragraphs 1.11-1.14 of the Order) if they have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine specified in Sub-paragraph 3.1 and have received positive (with anti-S, anti-S1 or anti-RBD IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 PCR test) quantitative or semi-quantitative serological immunological test response.

4. In order to determine the persons’ compliance with the criteria set out in Paragraphs 3 and 4 and to enable them to use KUAS services, the following documents (at least one of them) submitted by the persons themselves and the personal data contained therein (an identity document may be requested) shall be checked:

4.1.      Vaccination record from the information system for electronic health services and collaboration infrastructure  (IS EHSCI), positive laboratory test (SARS-CoV-2 PCR test or antigen test, or quantitative or semi-quantitative serological immunoassay (with anti-S, anti-S1 or anti-RBD IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2)) results (data) protocol (for recovering persons) or a negative laboratory test (SARS-CoV-2 PCR test) results (data) protocol that a person can submit in a printed or digitally stored format, or by directly connecting to the IS EHSCI;

4.2.      a document issued by a personal health care institution confirming that the person has recovered from COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) in accordance with the criteria set out in Paragraph 3 (hereinafter referred to as the Criteria) or that the person’s vaccination against the COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) disease meets the Criteria or a negative laboratory test response (SARS-CoV-2 PCR test or antigen test) issued by a healthcare institution, which a person may submit in a printed or digital form;

4.3.      a document confirming the age of the child (applies to persons under 16 years of age);

4.4.      a digital certificate based on the IS EHSCI data confirming the vaccination, a recovery from the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) or a negative test result for internal use with a generated QR code that can be submitted in a printed or digitally stored form or by directly connecting to IS EHSCI;

4.5.       a EU digital COVID certificate prepared in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission confirming the fact of vaccination or recovery from the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) according to the Criteria to facilitate free movement during the COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) pandemic or other non-EU digital certificate confirming the fact of vaccination or recovery from the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) in accordance with the Criteria specified in the Resolution;

4.6.      a certificate of KUAS employee or a certificate of employment at KUAS.

5. Screenings at checkpoints are performed by persons authorized by KUAS Director, who only check the documents specified in Paragraph 5, but do not copy or collect them.

6. The Vice Director of KUAS is responsible for supervising the execution of this Order.

7. This Order shall enter into force on 2nd September, 2021.
