On 14 December, the international competition “AgroTechnologist 2021” organized by the Food Technology Department of the Faculty of Technologies of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences and the University of Life Sciences and Technologies of Latvia will take place. The competition, which will be held for the fifth year, gives students who have chosen to study agriculture the opportunity to reveal their professional knowledge to an international audience. This year, as in 2020, the competition “AgroTechnologist 2021” will be held remotely.

The aim of the competition is to stimulate students’ interest in the latest agricultural technologies, to develop professional skills in organic farming and related fields, in cooperation with Lithuanian and foreign higher education institutions and agricultural enterprises.

On 14 December, contestants will take a test in 25 questions in English on the topics of soil ecosystems, agricultural machinery, plant nutrition and protection, and the environment.

It’s important to mention:

• the team of participants must consist of 3 persons – students who will take the test together;
• 60 minutes for the test;
• the test can be performed at the desired time, from 8 am to 5 pm.

The winners and prize-winners of the “AgroTechnologist 2021” competition will receive diplomas and prizes, gifts established by the sponsors.

Anyone wishing to participate in the competition is invited to register. Registration will be open until 10 December.
