Lecturers of the Rehabilitation Department of the Faculty of Medicine of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution Milda Gintilienė, Aiste Pranskaitytė-Bielevičienė, Emilija Strimaitytė and Project Coordinator Povilas Beseckas participated in one of the Nordplus project “Empowering puppetry”, which took place in Jurmala, Latvia, at the P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia. Partners from Latvia, Finland and Estonia also joined planning intensive week.

The aim of the meeting was to organize the Empowering Puppetry project week in Kaunas in spring. Lecturers shared ideas, worked on the agenda and planned tasks for students, as well as discussed the further development of the project and the future topics for the coming year.

During the project, participants visited the voluntary and independent Latvian Samaritan Association, whose mission is to help people. Members of this organization are involved in many charity and social support projects, as well as providing educational, social and medical care services in Latvia. During the visit, the lecturers met with the head of the association, who gave them a tour, introduced about the provided services and innovations in the institution, discussed the possibilities for cooperation.
