On June 27 community of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution and guests gathered at the Kaunas State Philharmonic Hall, where the new director Dr Andrius Brusokas was inaugurated.

During the event, the director swore to take care of the progress and prosperity of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, to defend the autonomy and academic freedom of the Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, to foster its values, to comply with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, to follow the statute of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, to always seek justice, to properly represent Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, to promote its name in Lithuania and the world, to protect and to strengthen the reputation of the Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution.

During the ceremony, in his speech, Dr A. Brusokas emphasised not only the achievements of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution but also one of the most important values of the institution – the sense of community.

“I could give you facts and figures that illustrate the path taken by our institution. They are extremely eloquent and meaningful. However, today I would like to pay more attention to those things that unite us as a sustainable community, connect us with joint activities, projects, and initiatives, help us achieve our professional goals, learn and grow ourselves and develop mature personalities,” said the director of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution.

“I believe that Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution will also become an essential stage of life for many people – for some it will be a solid starting point when choosing their path, for some it will be a springboard to professional heights, for some it will be a haven for creative pursuits. Thank you for being here now and ready to go further together. Thanks to the partnership, we will together create a successful, leading, and progressive institution,” new director Dr A. Brusokas concluded his speech.

The guests gathered at the celebrations were also introduced to the director’s team, with which the goals of the next five years will be implemented: deputy for organisational development Dr Inga Stravinskienė, deputy for studies Jolanta Bareikienė, deputy for science and partnership Dr Mantas Dilys.

Paulius Baltrušaitis, who has been the director of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution for the past five years, also took part in the ceremony, handing over one of the regalia – the director’s chain. Presenting the regalia, which is considered a sign of global connection and union, is a gesture that symbolises the continuation of traditions, the transfer of experience, knowledge, and communality.

On 18 April during the closed meeting, the Council elected a new director of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution.
