On 20–30 July at the Arts Academy of the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) the much-anticipated international plein-air painting “Secrets of the Owl Hill” took place, curated by Arvydas Martinaitis, lecturer of the Academy of Arts.
Plein-air has been organised for more than a decade. This year, artists from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Argentina, Norway took creative inspiration from the historically rich and exclusive spaces of the Academy of Arts.
Artists freely chose motifs for their creations and interpreted them in works that art lovers could see on 29 July in the exhibition of an unusual format – the audience was invited to enter the creative studios of the artists at the Academy of Arts, get to know the creators themselves, their artistic ideas and see the artworks created in the plein-air.
