Erasmus+ teaching exchanges is a wonderful opportunity to share knowledge and experience with the colleagues from all over the world. It is not just teaching but learning experience as well. Different methodologies of work, different technologies and approaches, various cultural challenges – these were main leaning areas for lecturers Povilas Beseckas and Daiva Mačiulienė from Kaunas University of Applied Sciences during the Erasmus+ teaching visit to Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). Visit was organised from 2nd till 8th of December and a week just gone as a moment.
Lecturer Daiva Mačiulienė had practical work – supervisions of practical training of oral hygienists as well as lectures about oral health in Lithuania and specific approaches to health education. Meetings with staff, discussions about curriculum development and further collaboration in field of applied research added extra value to teaching experience.
Lecturer Povilas Beseckas had a session with nursing faculty teachers about development of multidisciplinary courses, benefits and drawbacks and pedagogical philosophy behind them. The feedback from colleagues teachers and their interest in possibilities offered by multidisciplinary courses proved that it was a right topic to discuss. Nursing students were invited to join the practical workshops on objects theater and empowering communication with the clients. This was very emotional and lively workshop – thank you wonderful students of nursing at JUST!
This was an experience to remember! Country, university and most of all wonderful people at Jordan makes Erasmus+ teaching at JUST unforgettable and challenging event.
