Artur Kosiak, who came to Lithuania from Ukraine 3 years ago, says that Lithuania left a great impression on him.
‘Honestly, I was extremely impressed with Lithuania, which is where I still get impressed when I go to different cities. It’s a very beautiful country,’ he says.
Fell in love with Lithuanian cuisine

A student of English for Public Relations study programme at Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) shares that one of the reasons he chose Lithuania was because of the relatives who lived in Lithuania.
‘Another reason for choosing Lithuania was thanks to people who speak Russian and English it is easier to overcome the language barrier,’ says A. Kosiak.
After coming to Lithuania and spending time here, a student of Kauno kolegija HEI admits that he was extremely impressed with the country and fell in love with traditional Lithuanian cuisine.
‘Local dishes are incredibly delicious! I tried šaltibarščiai, kibinai, cepelinai, tinginys and so on. Mostly I prefer šaltibarščiai and cepelinai, I don’t know why, maybe they are kind of similar to dishes that I had in my motherland,’ A. Kosiak shares his impressions.
Besides spending time studying, Kauno kolegija HEI student spends some of his free time travelling: ‘I’ve visited Vilnius, Birštonas, cities by the Baltic Sea such as Klaipėda and Palanga. I liked Birštonas the most, it’s a very beautiful Lithuanian city with interesting architecture and a pleasant atmosphere,’ the student says.
Remembering his first days at Kauno kolegija HEI, A. Kosiak says that he was impressed as well: ‘To be honest, my impressions are very good. I remember when I stood at the entrance lecture at the beginning of the first year and saw the building of the Kauno kolegija HEI, my first words were: ‘It’s so beautiful’, so to this day I have only good impressions of studying and living conditions in the dormitory.‘
