On 23–26 October, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) is hosting a meeting of partners of the European University Alliance UNINOVIS, during which the application will be improved in order to receive funding for the creation of the UNINOVIS Data for L.I.F.E European University Alliance. Representatives of six higher education institutions from France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain and Albania are visiting Kauno kolegija HEI.
During the meeting, the partners will not only develop the content of the UNINOVIS Data for L.I.F.E alliance application, but will also meet with Kauno kolegija HEI management and departments to discuss cooperation opportunities in the fields of science, art, projects, mobility, studies.
Director of Kauno kolegija HEI Dr Andrius Brusokas emphasises that the opportunity to be part of the UNINOVIS European University Alliance would contribute to strengthening internationality, which is one of the main priorities of the Kauno kolegija HEI 2021–2025 strategy. This would make it possible to expand the network of partnerships, strengthen relations with international partners, create and implement joint study programmes, and open up wider opportunities for conducting international activities among both lecturers and students.
Kauno kolegija HEI becoming a member of the UNINOVIS alliance would also significantly contribute to strengthening the scientific potential, which is an important step for Kauno kolegija HEI to become a university of applied sciences and conduct professional master’s studies. Vice Director for Organisational Development Dr Inga Stravinskienė adds that the UNINOVIS alliance is a great opportunity for Kauno kolegija HEI lecturers and researchers to go to partner higher education institutions and share best practices, expand research groups, as a larger circle of researchers working in the same field appears. At the same time, these are opportunities to carry out larger projects, broader scientific programmes and study hubs.
