To become a progressive European higher education institution, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) consistently and purposefully increases the internationalisation of its activities. As it grows, the number of international students and employees of Kauno kolegija HEI is expanding, therefore it is important to strengthen international competencies.
On 6–9 November, Ieva Brazauskaitė-Zubavičienė, Head of the Language Centre at the Faculty of Arts and Education, junior researcher, and Asta Pukienė, lecturer and junior assistant, gave presentations at the International Linguistic Conference “Innovation in Language Learning” in Florence, Italy.
The conference was attended by around 200 professionals from more than 40 countries, including the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Oman, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and others. Representatives of Kauno kolegija HEI gave presentations on the research carried out by the internal research project. The presentations at the conference showed that artificial intelligence is currently the most topical subject of foreign language research. Other topics included English language teaching for specific purposes, new vocabulary, sociolinguistic research and the promotion of multilingualism.
This conference provided an opportunity to present Kauno kolegija HEI’s research to an international audience and to gain new knowledge and ideas from academic communities in other countries.
