On Wednesday, May 7, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution will host a remote international scientific-practical conference “Business Issues from the Future Specialists’ Point of View 2025”, traditionally organised by the Faculty of Business. Lithuanian and foreign lecturers, students, as well as business representatives are welcome to make presentations and/or submit scientific papers.

The conference is aimed at cooperation between students, lecturers, and business representatives through carrying applied research and participating in discussions on management, economics, law, communication and information as well as other issues essential for the academic community.

We invite you to present your research findings or share thoughts and insights on the following topics.

The conference welcomes lecturers, students and business representatives from Lithuania and abroad.

This year, during the plenary session, conference participants will hear from Martas Tankevičius, an entrepreneur and visionary who inspires people to pursue bold changes. His goal is to help people discover and realise their passions so that their lives become full of meaning and creativity. He is the founder of the first business of this type in Lithuania, “Eye Photography”, the author of a documentary about his business journey, and his work has already inspired thousands to take action and pursue their dreams. In his presentation, he will share his success story, insights about the courage to act, and how believing in yourself allows you to make a living from what you love.

The conference will be attended by Rugilė Matusevičiūtė, a climate and environmental journalist, a member of the Oxford University Climate Journalism Programme, and an ambassador for the European Union Climate Pact. Rugilė has created more than 200 programmes on sustainability and environmental topics and currently hosts the programme “Ministry of Sustainability” on Žinių Radijas (Knowledge Radio).

On the conference day, senior lecturer Minna Heikinheimo, a senior lecturer at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and a doctoral student at the University of Eastern Finland, will provide inspiration from European issues and examples. She has over 20 years of experience in various business management positions in the service and manufacturing industries. Her teaching and research interests include the use of technology (e.g. digital platforms and artificial intelligence) in B2B sales, digital skills development and digital transformation in small and medium-sized KIBS. Her published articles can be found, for example, in the Industrial Marketing Management journal.
