On April 10th, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) Faculty of Business and Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Technologies invite the academic community and business representatives to the international scientific conference “Business and Technology Conference 2025”, dedicated to the theme of business resilience.
The theme “Business Resilience” was chosen due to its high relevance and importance to modern business, considering the constantly changing global environment, technological challenges, economic fluctuations, and other uncertain situations. Business resilience today is becoming not only the ability to adapt to crisis situations but also the ability to remain competitive and sustainable even in challenging conditions.
In times of global pandemics, climate change, geopolitical crises, and rapid technological development, businesses must seek new ways to maintain their operations, secure supply chains, and ensure long-term growth. Therefore, this unique event will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and academics from around the world who will share their insights and experiences on how businesses can successfully adapt to the constantly changing environment and remain resilient to challenges.
The conference will feature presentations of the latest scientific research, best practices, and real-world examples, revealing the importance of resilience and providing valuable insights into how businesses can build a sustainable future. World-renowned scientists and business representatives will deliver presentations to the event participants.
Professor Dr Harald Uhlig, a world-renowned economist, will share insights on topic “On Digital Currencies” on the event day. Harald Uhlig is a professor at the University of Chicago, known for his significant contributions to the field of macroeconomics. His academic journey includes prestigious positions at Princeton University, Tilburg University, and Humboldt University of Berlin. Professor Uhlig is a recognized expert whose insights greatly influence economic science and practice. His work not only expands academic understanding but also directly impacts economic policy and global financial strategies. His participation in the conference will lend the event top-tier scientific authority and is expected to attract the attention of economics professionals and researchers.
Rasa Kavaliauskaitė, Coordinator at the Innovation Agency Lithuania, will present “Innovating Together: Bridging Science, Business and Society in Biotechnology”, discussing essential aspects of innovation and collaboration in the biotechnology sector. Rasa’s areas of expertise—biotechnology, strategic coordination, and continuous business improvement—help implement cutting-edge projects and initiatives. She is committed to using her knowledge and experience to create meaningful solutions and contribute to the growth of the entire life sciences innovation ecosystem.
Rokas Krūminas, Climate Risk Officer at SEB Bank, will share insights on how climate change poses financial risks to banks and how banks can increase their financial resilience to these challenges in his presentation “Financial Resilience in the Face of Climate Risks: Banks’ Perspective.” His professional diversity reflects a wide range of interests—from financial markets and technology to pop culture.

The main goal of the conference is to promote scientific discussions and share innovative ideas about the role of technology and business in contributing to economic growth and social change. We will also aim to discuss how interdisciplinary strategies and collaboration can pave the way for significant societal changes.
On the same day, the conference “Innovations in Publishing, Printing and Multimedia Technologies 2025” will take place (Conference Hall 1-57, Pramonės pr. 22).
