On 29–30 September, the 2nd Massage Championship of the Nordic Countries was held in Latvia, where Laura Eidininkaitė, a second-year student of the Cosmetology study programme of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI), took 3rd place in the Free Programme category. Rita Jakštaitė and Kristina Bružė, lecturers of the Department of Cosmetology, helped to prepare for the competition and prepare the programme for it.
“I am happy that we can boast of international victories at the Faculty of Medicine of Kauno kolegija HEI. We thank the student and the lecturers for their excellent work,” says Žaneta Mickienė, Head of the Department of Cosmetology.
During the competition organised by P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia and the International Massage Association, the participants demonstrated their skills and knowledge in the Classic Massage and Free Programme categories.
Students from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia’s higher education institutions and professional training schools participated in the Massage Championship of the Nordic Countries. Students represented massage, physiotherapy and cosmetology study programmes, 13 of them competed in the Free Programme and 11 in the Classic Massage programme. The second day of the championship was dedicated to professionals. The performances of the participants were monitored and evaluated by a panel of international judges.
