Ergonomics 3 Spring Giedrė Sasnauskienė The aim of the study subject – to introduce students with professional health‘s and ergonomic‘s concepts, main terms and  adaptation possibilities. At the end of the subject students will get knowledge and be able to evaluate body poses in work place, working environment and tools influence for human. Will be able to create prevention programs and will advise on the installation of safe workplace. 
English Language 3 Spring Violeta Kamantauskienė While studying the course, students learn to use professional terms in the foreign language and use the information sources necessary for the specialty, i.e. dictionaries, reference books, encyclopaedias, Internet websites, databases. They also develop professional language reading, listening, writing, speaking and translation skills.
Stress and coping strategies 3 Spring Dainė Krasuckienė During the course, students will get acquainted with the concept of stress and stress response mechanism, will analyze the impact of stressors on well-being and health, as well as opportunities to reduce stress through various stress prevention and coping strategies. Will develop stress coping and self regulation skills.

Individual Social Work 5 Spring Ovidijus Grincevičius The subject belongs to the list of study field subjects. Through the Individual Social Work subject, the students acquire theoretical knowledge of individual social work and can creatively apply it during practical workshops. They write a critical analysis and select the social work methods by empowering their clients, as well as plan the content of individual work. They learn to manage the process and evaluate the results of the social work process. 
Team Work of Professionals 4 Spring Aušra Kavaliauskienė The subject Teamwork of Professionals belongs to the list of study field subjects in the Social Work study programme. The course acquaints the students with the differences of work with a group or a team. They learn theoretical and practical skills about the principles of team formation and development in an organization. During practical workshops the students gain skills on organizing and developing a team. The students are acquainted with and apply various creative methods to tackle problems in a team of professionals.
Social Work Supervision 4 Spring Ilona Kupčikienė The subject Social Work Supervision belongs to the list of study field subjects. Through the subject, the students acquire the skills of self-reflection and ability to assess personal feelings, experienced during professional practice. The students analyze the needs of different groups of clients and learn to cooperate with them. They acquire the skills of assessing the process and results of social support. 
Social Work with a Group 4 Spring Ovidijus Grincevičius The subject Social Work with a Group belongs to the list of study field subjects. The subject focuses on social work with a group through practical workshops and reflective thinking. The students learn about the specifics of social work with a group and the main features of client empowering. They learn to generalize and manage the process of working with a group. They creatively integrate and practically apply the knowledge acquired during the course.
Social Work in Communities 5 Spring Povilas Beseckas The subject Social work in Communities belongs to the list of study field subjects. The course helps the students to understand the role of the social worker in the process of community organization and development. They will evaluate the problems of society and the needs of risk groups for social support. To empower persons experiencing crisis or excluded groups, the students creatively apply various social work strategies and community building methods. They organize the social support networks; involve volunteers and non-governmental organizations into community problem solving. 
Social Work with Families 5 Spring Ilona Venckienė The subject Social Work with Families belongs to study field subjects. The students analyses the needs of different families and acquire skills to design a social work action plan for solving family social problems. The students creatively and critically apply various theories and methods while providing general special services to families seeking empowerment of the family as a system and promotion of its better functioning. The students develop skills of the social support process and assess the results.
Social Gerontology 4 Spring Aušra Kavaliauskienė The subject Social Gerontology belongs to the list of optional subjects in the in-depth specialization. During the course, the students learn know about the problems of the elderly and older adults ‘adaptation in society and the nature of their psychological experiences. They understand the behavior characteristics, assess health related changes in the ageing person‘s body. They identify the physical health problems of the elderly and provide social support to the client and organize palliative care.
Administration of Social Services Institutions 4 Spring Dainė Krasuckienė The subject Administration of Social Services Institutions belongs to the list of study field subjects in the study programme. Through the subject, the students analyze preconditions of successful activities of social service institutions. They will systematize their knowledge and develop personal skills of formulating the purposes of independent activities, decision making, negotiating and leadership, skills enabling a social worker to organize and cooperate, work in a team, subunit and institution.
Basics of Sociology 4 Spring Daiva Bubelienė During the course Basics of Sociology students will get familiar with interaction between culture and human evolution, area of sociological researches and methods. Students will get knowledge on main aspects of the culture, process of human socialization and coexistent of different cultures/subcultures in the society. Students will analyze influence of changing cultural environment to the person as well as deviations in society.
Psychology of Antisocial Behavior 4 Spring Ilona Kupčikienė The Psychology of Antisocial Behavior belongs to the list of optional subjects that are part of the specialization in the same study field. During the course, the students analyze factors that determine the personality of an anti-social individual and the formation of psychological mechanisms of antisocial behavior. They draw plans for social work actions to address the problems of the anti-social behavior clients. They develop cooperation skills with this specific type of clients and their living environments, seeking prevention and intervention of social consequences.
Practical Training: Non-institutional Social Work 6/10/12 Spring Ilona Venckienė The subject belongs to the list of study field subjects. During the professional practice the students gather information on the client’s situation; they identify social problems, assess social needs, plan the process of specific social problem solving. They creatively select and apply social work methods. The students conduct professional practice in the social support (welfare) departments of the city municipality, social service centers, and non-governmental organizations providing social services to non-stationary institutions.
Practical Training: Inpatient Institutional Social Work 6/10/12 pavasario Aušra Kavaliauskienė The subject belongs to the list of study field subjects. During the practice, the students identify the social problems of inpatient social services institutions and evaluate the needs of their clients. They plan provision of social services to the clients of inpatient institutions. The students creatively select various methods for providing specific social services to clients seeking their empowerment. They coordinate and analyze the process of social support in the inpatient institutions of social services and evaluate the results achieved. The practice is conducted in the inpatient and health care institutions of social services.
Practical Training: Social Case Work  6/10/12 Spring Daiva Matulevičiūtė The subject belongs to the list of study field subjects. During the practice the students learn to identify social problems of various groups of clients and assess their needs. They plan and provide specific social support to various groups of clients. The students analyze the social support process and evaluate the results to individuals, families, various groups of clients. They cooperate with different groups of clients and their environments as well as social partners in addressing social problems and improve professional competence. The students conduct practice in the departments of social welfare of the city council, social service centers, municipalities and non-governmental organizations, social care homes, day care centers and in other institutions providing out-patient and in-patient social services.
