Foreign Language 1 3 Autumn Foreign language (English) 1 increases the knowledge of language, improves speaking and writing skills on various topics, helps to convey heard or read information. The subject assists students to form strong spoken language skills that will be needed in their chosen field. Various speaking, writing, reading and listening tasks are included in the subject. Students are taught to express thoughts correctly, fluently, visually, and creatively on different topics both orally and in writing; students are acquainted with active and passive vocabulary of specific topics and are trained to use them correctly. The course unit encourages students to independently search for various literature and information to enrich their vocabulary.
Decorative Plastic Techniques 6 Autumn This course unit is designed for those who choose to study Decorative plastic program. Students become familiar with all five decorative plastic studies: glass, ceramics, textiles, leather and wood. To acquire knowledge about the specifics of the studies and their equipment and materials used in making simple articles. Primer specificity in technological specialization allows students to choose the specific area of Decorative plastic program – glass, ceramics, textiles, leather or wood.
Applied Computer Software 3 Autumn The course unit “Applied Computer Software” introduces the basics of computer graphics. Students are introduced to the advantages and disadvantages, purpose and possibilities of vector (Corel Draw) and raster (Adobe Photoshop) graphics. Theoretical and practical knowledge for creating, modeling, layout, retouching of graphic objects is provided. The students are taught how to work with Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop computer graphics programs, which are designed to perform various specialty projects.
Composition and Design Basics 6 Autumn During the course students master the basic composition and design elements: line, two-dimensional and three-dimensional shape, statics, dynamics, color, texture, texture, and pattern. Students creating a three-dimensional and two-dimensional decorative plastic art pieces use composition and design elements and main principles of composing: symmetry and asymmetry, proportion, contrast, nuance, rhythm, harmony.
Sculpturing and Modelling 3 Autumn This course unit is designed to acquire the theoretical and practical skills of sculptural representation. During their studies, students learn to form a 3D shape, bas-relief, high-relief, relief from selected materials.
Drawing and Sketching 6 Autumn The aim of this course unit is to acquire general knowledge about drawing and the requirements applicable to it. The main principles of composition are introduced, the laws of perspective and proportions are discussed. While  drawing geometric shapes, household objects and their groups the meaning of light-shadow in the drawing is analyzed.
The 3D image and materiality of the depicted object or groups of objects are conveyed. The environment is monitored and evaluated by choosing the right motives for drawing. Various lighting effects are applied when drawing still life, interior and exterior. Students, independently and creatively, experiment with various drawing tools and techniques. Completed drawings are analyzed and evaluated.

Decorative Plastic Design and Techniques 1 12 Spring Decorative plastic program students familiar with all the decorative plastic specializations (glass, ceramic, textile, leather, wood) may choose a more “interest specializations and appropriate technologies.
Students performed sketches, layouts, develops and carries out decorative plastic material work within the chosen specialization or combining several specializations in one piece. By studying this subject, students deepen their knowledge in a particular specialization, takes primary technological knowledge and skills to analyze Decorative plastic work stages from the initial idea – case study, sketch, design the course to its implementation of materials (glass, ceramics, textile, leather, wood).
Drawing 1 3 Spring The aim of the course unit is to comprehend and apply the main principles and proportion while drawing the human head.
During the course students acquire general knowledge about how to draw the human head, understand the anatomy of skull, learn the main principles of head foreshortening and how to draw creative compositions. They also analyse the characteristics, proportions of the head, convey the effect of light, as well as model the three-dimensional shape, independently choose drawing tools and techniques and apply them creatively while drawing and sketching a portrait.
Internship of Computer Graphics and Visualization 6 Spring The aim of the course unit is to understand and apply the basic laws of head positioning when drawing a head.
The purpose of this course unit is to acquire general knowledge about drawing a head. Understand the anatomical structure of the skull, master the basic laws of positioning the head in angular positions, be able to compose creatively. Analyze the character and proportions of the head, convey the effect of lighting. Model a three-dimensional shape. Independently choose drawing tools and techniques and apply them creatively when drawing and sketching a portrait.

Sketching 3 Autumn The course unit lets to make new interpretation of the drawing objects: domestic items, flora, fauna. The subject lets to create the composition pictures of them, to apply various means and techniques, to achieve artistry and originality of the pictures.
Decorative Plastic Design and Techniques 2 12 Autumn This course unit is for learning how to create, design and perform ceramic, glass, wood, textile, leather art works for decorative and utilitarian purposes. In theoretical classes students learn about peculiarities of designing and performing art pieces for interior decoration. Students analyze basic methods of formatting articles from ceramic, glass, wood, textile and leather materials and their technological production processes. During practical and self-study students master how to select, analyze material of prototypes, to present creative decisions, to use more means of graphical expression, to prepare a record of a certain task and to implement a graphical project. Later they perform a draft of art work and interior situation is chosen. Practicals help to master basic formation tools and equipment, various clay, glass, wood, textile, leather facturing and decorating techniques.
Drawing 2 3 Autumn The aim of the course unit is to be able to draw and sketch a portrait. Apply the laws of perspective when drawing architecture.
The purpose of this course is to acquire general knowledge about the plastic anatomy of a human figure and to apply that knowledge in practical tasks, drawing and sketching gypsum and live heads, limbs of the figure, torso.
Students learn to apply the basic principles of composition, the laws of proportioning, the meaning of light and shadow in drawing while drawing interior and exterior, to model the volumetric form, to experiment independently and creatively with various drawing tools and techniques.
Painting 2 6 Autumn This program of study of the subject of the current vendors of painting characteristics and contribute to the development of new methods of artistic expression. Visual Arts in contemporary painting and philosophy, and in the context of art history dealing with artistic positions and their searches. Experimental, creative painting plastic grammar associated not only with the painting and the Visual Arts expressions theoretical reflections. in this context, analyzed and discussed in the relevant historical and contemporary examples of the art of painting. The development of a student’s perception of the world and to the perception of a philosophical connections with Visual plastic rendering process. Encouraged by their individual ideas and rendering the painting expression search.
Internship of Studying Nature Forms 6 Autumn This course unit is for decorative plastic program students. They have to chose nature objects and analized them.and tell about their  structure, structure, texture, color. Stylize and recreate according their original main nature character. Create decorative plastic composition which one should be organized by artistic artwork chosen specialization making. Do practice time developmental ability to get to know nature and interpret it and put it in artistic objects.
Porcelain Plastics 9 Spring The purpose of this course unit (module) is to apply theoretical knowledge of articles design and production in the material for practical tasks. Also to make gypsum models and forms, to perceive the foundation technology of porcelain mass, to apply various manners of decoration for the performed articles. In this module students get experience to analyze forms, constructions, technologies and function problems of the decorative crockery. Here students will apply the knowledge of information technologies when designing. In a technologically correct way students perform decorative, unique, non-traditional objects of their own design with minimal function of porcelain mass.
Tehnologies of Porcelain Plastics 3 Spring The purpose of this course unit (module) is to give theoretical and practical knowledge about the technology of porcelain plastic also to introduce with the history of the appearance of porcelain, kinds, characteristics and production processes of it. The subject helps to imbibe the ways of preparation and formation of the schlicker of porcelain mass. The students get knowledge about burning stoves, lading equipment, burning processes, burning temperatures, characteristics of glaze and glaze of porcelain wares. They also get knowledge about the composition and characteristics of gypsum ant it’s importance in the production of porcelain wares. Students imbibe the moulding technology of gypsous models and forms. They make technologic tests and experimentations on various decoration ways of porcelain wares.
Molding 9 Spring The aim of the course is to apply the gained theoretical knowledge about glass working technologies and construction theory during the practical work. Gain understanding about glass casting technology while creating and making models and forms, apply cold glass working methods on completed art works. Students will understand how to analyze the technological and functional problems of decorative glass plastics objects. Glass casting course is for students that choose to study Decorative glass plastics. Students learn to apply projects of unique utilitarian items and decorative sculptural art works when using glass casting technique and gain assurance that they know how to use glass casting techniques.
Molding Technologies 3 Spring During glass casting technology classes, students gain theoretical and practical knowledge about glass casting technology and other various glass forming techniques, learn and gain understanding about preparatory production work and technological knowledge of sculptural glass and apply this knowledge when creating unique glass works. Students acquire theoretical knowledge about creation of unique models, preparation of plaster moulds, gain understanding of plaster moulds casting technologies. They also learn about electric kilns and their instructions, glass melting temperatures, consistent creation process of glass works, perform technological galss experiments.
Artistic Bookbinding 9 Spring The aim of the course unit is to acquire technological knowledge, abilities and practical skills of artistic bookbinding, to understand the historical development of artistic books and the tendencies of contemporary artistic bookbinding.
Students specializing in leather art get acquainted with the historical development and techniques of artistic bookbinding, trends of modern artistic bookbinding, equipment and peculiarities of the technological process. The course provides basic knowledge about the most common methods of artistic bookbinding, historical methods and the possibilities of their modern interpretation. Students learn to make leather book bindings tailored to the book’s artistic idea, content, and overall style. While studying this subject, students are able to bind souvenir books artistically and technically, to create a conceptual book by using different bookbinding methods, to create books – objects. They also get acquainted with the history of art books, the most famous artists in this field and the most popular events and trends of the World Bookbinding Association, as well as the works of Lithuanian authors.
Bookbinding Technologies 3 Spring Decorative plastic program leather goods plastic specialization students get acquainted with the historical development of artistic bookbinding, book shape change, technological diversity, bookbinding basis of the principles of modern bookbinding directions, the most prominent experts in the field. Study time and theoretical knowledge about the most common artistic bookbinding techniques, historical methods, books ingredients needed for the process equipment and materials used, tools and instruments. After finishing Decorative plastic degree program, students will gain not only a general understanding of the evolution of the art book, but develop the minimum capabilities in this area, will gain theoretical knowledge, will be able to apply the practical implementation of the works. Familiar with the art of bookbinding developments in Lithuania and global trends in this branch of art.
Gobelin 9 Spring Introducing the tapestry technique, its peculiarities. Tapestry weaving technique allows weave complex designs, use multiple colours, different kinds of yarns, textures, woven by hand. Learn to prepare a technical drawing – cardboard, sketch and prepare carpet weaving frames, learn yarn joining techniques. Technique is complex and requires a lot of time. Decorative tapestry woven by existing sketch – the project. Weaving is completed independently, performed finish.
Gobelin Technologies 3 Spring This weaving technique was already known in ancient Egypt, Persia, Mesopotamia. We are familiar Egyptian – Coptic carpets, examples of which date back to the VII – VIII. In this  gobelin technologies subject  students will study basic tapestry weaving techniques, fibers, materials used in the tapestry weaving, the warp and weft connections.
Will  weave small samples (10×10) cm., will learn the basic tapestry weaving ways, finishing of work. Analyze new textile techniques and technologies.  Fulfill a example of non-traditional materials.
Drawing 3 3 Spring The aim of the course is to gain quick orientation while drawing a figure and other objects.
The purpose of this course is to analyze the proportions of the human figure, the laws of statics – dynamics and balance, the character of movement. In practical tasks, while drawing and sketching a portrait and a figure, students learn to apply the principles of composition, the laws of setting proportions, lighting effects, creatively experiment with various tools and techniques, aiming at the artistry and originality of drawings. Students learn to analyze and evaluate completed works.
Painting 2 3 Spring This course unit includes the current vendors of painting characteristics and contribute to the development of new methods of artistic expression. Visual Arts in contemporary painting and philosophy, and in the context of art history dealing with artistic positions and their searches. Tentative and Production Internship 6 Spring The aim of the course is to plan production processes and technically and technologically make a work of art suitable for product reproduction.
During the tentative and production internship, students are introduced to the equipment and tools needed to produce and reproduce works of art. Tentative and production internship is performed in art companies, practical work studios of the Academy of Arts, individual studios of artists. During this internship, students have to consolidate the acquired knowledge and practical skills. Students should provide an example (standard) suitable for the production of low-circulation works of art. Students should be able to reproduce works of art according to the given example (standard). Asked by employers, they should perform separate technological operations.

Sculpture 3 Autumn This course unit is designed to acquire the theoretical and practical skills of sculptural representation. During their studies, students learn to form a 3D shape, bas-relief, high-relief, relief from selected materials.
Stone Mass Plastics 6 Autumn This course unit is designed to master possibilities of work with stone mass using specific technologies and performance techniques: incrustation, marbling and tracery molding.  Preparation of a paper for a certain topic, preparation of a graphical project of spacious-bulk composition choosing a proper interior situation where designed spacious bulk composition could be integrated.
Technologies of Stone Mass Plastics 3 Autumn The course unit includes knowledge about the characteristics of stone mass materials, performance production of stoneware usingvarious technologies. Deepen knowledge about the product from the stone mass specifics of their diversity and characteristics. Their ability to work with production equipment and tools.
Stained Glass 6 Autumn Students are introduced with stained glass history, analyze stained glass designing and application in interior, learn stained glass creation techniques, form work skills. While creating stained glass works, students test their theoretical and practical knowledge.
Technologies of Stained Glass 3 Autumn Stained glass technologies are intended to look more into technological peculiarities of stained glass creation. Various factors are analyzed during the time of the course to acquire the desirable result. Analysis of newest stained glass conception, possibilities of stained glass uses in interior, work peculiarities. Analysis of newest materials used in the process of creating stained glass works. Performing calculations of technological regime.
Creation of Leather Plastic Objects 6 Autumn The course (module) is provided for students to perceive significant principles of projecting and accomplishment of art leather items from various materials using papier-mâché technique and free formation of leather pieces with heat. In this subject students will analyze the principles of projecting leather objects for interior, will try application possibilities of leather decoration techniques and technologies carrying out decorative leather objects, applied art items. The students will be able to analyze technical requirements of application process of a created object, conditions of work application for interior and fashion tendencies. During the studies of this module the students will continue to deepen self – study skills and will build a professional portfolio of creative competencies.
Technology of Decorative Leather Plastic 3 Autumn Leather plastic specialization students examine leather of plastic technologies, its features and usability. Subject purpose – acquiring leather plastic technology knowledge and develop practical skills. Students learn about leather plastic materials, finishing techniques, instruments and equipment, various decorative objects performance plastic and decorating technologies, such as weaves, painting, sewing, hot forming, and other relief, as well as their use in decorative plastic leather creations opportunities. Students use a variety of leather plastics technology, will be able to combine handmade leather plastic mechanical technician with the latest technology.
Batik 6 Autumn Introducing the history of batik, batik technique is acquired. Learning to paint a variety of decorative and utilitarian use articles (cushions, pictures, decorative accents in the interior). Introducing the silk painting techniques,  paint various accessories – scarves, shawls, etc.. Students should use their theoretical knowledge of silk painting in practice.
Technologies of Batik 3 Autumn Batik has long been practiced in Indonesia, mostly developed in Java. The word ,,batik” means pattern. Batik technique is very important folk art and production.
Decorative Plastic Specialty Techniques 3 Autumn This course unit is for students of Decorative plastic program, who have chosen a specific (the glass, the ceramic, the textile, the leather or the wood art) and deepened specialization professional and technological knowledge and artistic skills in the high-quality artistic works designing and carrying from complex materials of decorative plastic specialty.
Practice of Technology and Mastery 6 Autumn Technological and craftsmanship practice consists of two parts: Technological practice and Craftsmanship practice.
During the technological practice, students try to apply the acquired knowledge when creating art works. Technological practice aim – untraditionally combine chosen materials, carry out technological experiments, look for new solutions, try out various decoration techniques.
During craftsmanship practice, students demonstrate their skillfulness gained during decorative plastics specializations’ courses. Students are given practical tasks, which would prove their skillfulness of creating art works in decorative ceramics plastics, decorative glass plastics, decorative textile, leather crafting and wood working plastics specializations.
Students perform tasks from the start to finish and demonstrate all of their craftsmanship knowledge, acquired during courses.
Tentative Creation 3 Spring Students learn to convey the idea in creative sketches to find the right graphic expression of conceptual piece.
They discover and evaluate variety of  new and non-traditional materials, their properties. Analyses plastic materials, physical properties,  their use possibilities in composition. Students choose and justify the most suitable material to convey ideas.. Students experiment, exploiting the properties of non-traditional materials, reaches proportions, materials synthesis. Learn to purposefully combine different materials and techniques in one piece.
