Foreign Language 1 3 Autumn Foreign language (English) 1 increases the knowledge of language, improves speaking and writing skills on various topics, helps to convey heard or read information. The subject assists students to form strong spoken language skills that will be needed in their chosen field. Various speaking, writing, reading and listening tasks are included in the subject. Students are taught to express thoughts correctly, fluently, visually, and creatively on different topics both orally and in writing; students are acquainted with active and passive vocabulary of specific topics and are trained to use them correctly. The study subject encourages students to independently search for various literature and information to enrich their vocabulary.
Speciality Drawing 1 6 Autumn The course unit “Specialty Drawing 1” introduces drawing geometrical shapes; composition, proportion, perspective concepts and requirements. Teaches to understand the variety of tones and strokes, draws graphical expression exercises. Study of depiction of a variety of materials, presentation of fabric, textures, texture and fabric patterns. Introduction to the human skeletal anatomy, the structure of the head, limbs and torso, body drawing rules and methodology. Students study and draw human‘s garment accessories (clothing components). Performance of various drawing tasks related to the regular representation of the human figure in static and dynamic positions, addressing the various technical and creative problems. Students draw and make sketches and copies with the help of various drawing tools, techniques and methods.

Speciality Drawing 2 6 Spring The course unit “Specialty Drawing 2” introduces to the structure and concept of the gypseous and alive human figure; rules and techniques of drawing anatomical figure, torso and figure of Aphrodite. Students study the relation between figure and clothing accessories (clothing components). Various drawing tasks related to the regular representation of a human figure in static and dynamic positions are performed; different technical and creative problems are solved. Students draw and make sketches using various drawing instruments, techniques and methods and apply different drawing expression methods. Different tasks develop student’s imagination, thinking, experimentation and search. The aim is to create a style of dress and to express the idea by a quick and free sketching.

Fashion Photography Development 3 Autumn The course unit “Fashion Photography Development” introduces students to fashion photography concept, historical development and modern trends.  It discusses the image concept as a social role. Introduces to fashion photography concept, peculiarities of studio light in fashion photography, discusses and analizes human emotions, garment, choreography conveyance using studio light, performance of laboratory works. An overview of digital photo correction software principles.
Hairstyle, Make – up/Grease – paint Composition and Techniques 1 6 Autumn The course unit “Hairstyle, Make – up/Grease – paint Composition and Techniques 1” introduces make – up / grease – paint as the phenomenon and assumptions of its origin, use and application trends, face morphology and physiognomy theory;  facial features typical of a particular image, make-up and grease – paint performance techniques, peculiarities of correction and stage make – up / grease – paint;  testing of the technique; acquired knowledge is applied in image formation.
Introduction to the historical development of hairstyle, recognition of details of different epochs and use in transforming and transferring them in the image creation. Hair forming techniques are tested. Application of the principles of composition of hair formation and image creation.
Painting 3 Autumn The course unit “Painting” presents the students that fine art has rather complex expressions. The program provides an opportunity to test a variety of painting techniques, tools, and imaging techniques.  It will provide students an opportunity to develop a holistic understanding of the aesthetic in art and apply it in their specialty.
Psychology of Advertising 3 Spring The course unit “Psychology of advertising” is designed to recognize and assess the advertiser and consumer’s behavior on the basis of advertising psychology criteria, to develop advertiser’s professional skills based on the knowledge of psychology. During the learning process different advertising consumer and customer’s needs, behaviour is revealed, a positive approach towards the socio-economic environment is formed and students’ skills to create socially responsible product based on psychological principles are developed.
Hairstyle, Make – up/Grease – paint Composition and Techniques 2 6 Spring The course unit “Hairstyle, make – up/grease – paint composition and techniques 2” introduces make-up/grease-paint of different epochs and early twentieth century, different nations / races face decoration peculiarities, influence on the development of the catwalk shows creating images and a person’s image also; competitive make-up. Acquired knowledge is applied in creating individual’s or a group of persons image.
Introduces to hairstyle and/or haircut techniques, tools and accessories. Analyzes hairstyle and / or haircut application characteristics by adjusting face shapes. Examines alternative hairstyle and / or haircut forming material and accessories application possibilities. Acquired knowledge is used to develop individuals and groups’ image.

Aesthetics 3 Autumn The course unit “Aesthetics” introduces the object of aesthetics. Concept of beauty in aesthetics. Types of causes identified by Aristotle and a work of art. Beauty and the conception of taste in Kant’s philosophy. Nietzsche’s aesthetic metaphysics: Dionysian and Appolian artistic beginning and their synthesis. Tendencies of Socrates and the end of tragedy. The problem of truth in Heidegger’s work of art. Things and artwork. Artistry of a work of art. The truth as a not hidden process in a work of art. Poetic language. Merleau-Ponty: phenomenology of a work of art. Artists’ activity as actualization of primary relationship between the human being and the world. Simultaneity problem in Gadamer’s art. The work of art as a game. The work of art as a symbol. The work of art as a celebration. Ricoeur: analysis of metaphor and symbol.
Basics of Accounting 3 Autumn The course unit “Basics of accounting” analyzes generally accepted accounting principles, the organization of accounting process, financial statements.

Fashion Marketing 6 Spring During this course the service sector and its role in the economy are analyzed. Features of services, their classification, comparison of services and goods. The marketing complex of a service company is analyzed. Customer expectations, communication between service providers and consumers are analyzed.
