Paulius Baltrušaitis, the director of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences, reveals that being a part of this alliance would contribute to the strengthening of internationality, which is one of the priorities of the university strategy for 2021–2025. This would allow expanding the network of partnerships, strengthening relations with international partners, creating and implementing joint study programmes and opening up wider opportunities for international activities among both lecturers and students.
Becoming a part of the European University Alliance “Uninovis” would also contribute to the strengthening of scientific potential, which is an important step for Kaunas University of Applied Sciences pursuing to become an applied sciences university and offer professional master’s degree studies.
The goal of “Uninovis” is to create an international and interdisciplinary European university with common governance, teaching, and research structures from six higher education institutions. The Alliance focuses on the wider use of data science in all academic fields.
“Uninovis” main objectives are: to become the leading European alliance by using, researching and managing data in all academic fields; to develop directions of higher education and research based on new pedagogical methodologies; to create a European center to strengthen cooperation between the Alliance and society encouraging innovation through diversity and multilingualism.
