On 5–6 November, Gerda Bukauskaitė-Žiūkienė, lecturer at the Department of Nursing, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI), participated in the event Horizon Europe – Lithuanian and German Profiles in Lifescience & MedTech in Berlin, organised by the representatives of the National Contact Points (NCPs), which was jointly implemented by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Germany and BioCon Valley, GmbH. The event aimed to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of life sciences and medical technology and to network for new partnerships and projects in the context of Horizon Europe.
The meeting focused on MedTech & Digital Health, Mental & Public Health, Environmental Health & Food. Good practices and projects were also presented. The Lithuanian delegation visited German research centres: the Robert Koch-Institute to discuss infectious diseases and the Max Planck Institute to discuss cutting-edge research in molecular genetics.
