Microbiology and Microbiologycal Investigations | 4 | Spring | Žaneta Maželienė | Students will get acquainted with the concept and development of microbiology, evaluate the peculiarities of microorganism biology (morphology, physiology, genetics, pathogenicity), the place of microorganisms in the infectious process, human exposure, ways of spread. Will know infectious immunity, will be able to inform patients before performing microbiological tests. This will allow them to take and accept samples for microbiological tests, evaluate the suitability of samples at the preanalytical stage. Students will be able to select microbiological methods for the pathological material and perform them technically. They will perform research quality control, will know research rate indicators, will recognize pathology.
