In order to draw attention to one of the priorities of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences strategy for 2021–2025 – increasing internationalization – and to enable a larger number of community members to benefit from the Erasmus+ mobility programme, additional individual grants will be provided to certain groups. Students of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences can apply for the following grants (documents substantiating the status must be submitted):

    • Students from low-income families (up to 24 years old); 
    • Students being a part of the deprived group; 
    • Orphans or children deprived of parental care (up to 24 years old); 
    • Students with a young child or children under 12 years old; 
    • Students from large families (under 24 years old); 
    • Working students (with an employment contract or self-employed for at least 20 working days before applying for additional funding); 
    • Students with refugee status; 
    • Students with a residence permit for humanitarian reasons; 
    • Students with a disability which results in additional costs for mobility activities (upon providing documents of actual expenses).

Kaunas University of Applied Sciences lecturers and other employees with fewer opportunities in the Erasmus+ mobility programme will be able to receive additional individual grants upon submission of supporting documents:

    • lecturers and other staff with a disability which results in additional costs for the mobility activity (upon supporting documents presentation of actual expenses).

Upon submission of the documents substantiating the status, students with fewer opportunities in the Erasmus+ mobility programme from third countries that are not associated with the Erasmus+ programme will be able to apply for additional individual grants upon arrival at Kaunas University of Applied Sciences:

    • Students being a part of a group of socially disadvantaged persons according to the status of the country from which they come (upon submission to Kaunas University of Applied Sciences of the relevant document(s) confirming the status of a socially disadvantaged participant according to the national requirements of the sending country); 
    • Students with refugee status;
    • Students with a residence permit for humanitarian reasons;
    • Students with a disability which results in additional costs for mobility activities (upon providing documents of actual expenses).

Lecturers and other staff with fewer opportunities in the Erasmus+ mobility programme from third countries that are not associated with the Erasmus+ programme will be able to receive additional individual support grants upon arrival at Kaunas University of Applied Sciences and submission of supporting documents:

    • lecturers and other staff with a disability which results in additional costs for the mobility activity (upon providing documents of actual expenses).

Additional individual grant for students and graduates with fewer opportunities participating in Erasmus+ mobility:

    • in case of long-term mobility – 250.00 Eur per month;
    • in case of short-term mobility – 100.00 Eur (when the duration of mobility is 5–14 days); 150.00 Eur (when the duration of mobility is 15-30 days).
