Dr Marijana Prodanović, Associate Professor at the Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts and Education, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI), has become an expert of the Research Council of Lithuania. This is an important professional achievement and prestige for both the lecturer and the Kauno kolegija HEI.

The Council organises the evaluation of scientific (artistic) activities in Lithuania, the evaluation of doctoral studies in science, the evaluation of doctoral studies in art, provides conclusions on the right of Lithuanian research and study institutions to carry out doctoral studies, evaluates the long-term programmes of institutes, and prepares the country’s research infrastructures roadmap.

Expert work is one of the Council prominent activities, as experts might be involved in an array of activities, such as evaluating research project proposals, discussing and assessing scientific activities of Kauno kolegija HEI, commenting and proposing draft legislation or other science-related policies and documents approved by the Council.

Dr Prodanovic is eager to participate in the Council work by sharing her academic expertise and experience while simultaneously gaining knowledge of cutting-edge developments and trends; she also hopes to deepen understanding between policies and practices in higher education, as well as to contribute to visibility, credibility and research capacity of Kauno kolegija HEI.
