Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) and Vilnius Wolves Twinsbet Club are launching a strategic cooperation, the main goal of which is to promote education and innovative learning through e-sports. The cooperation between both organisations will allow students to better familiarise themselves with the world of virtual sports, develop practical skills and deepen their knowledge of the sports industry.

The Wolves Twinsbet club is paying special attention to virtual basketball this season – they have formed an NBA2K team that participates in various local and international tournaments. The club has also actively participated in the Euroleague One Team project, which works with the Lithuanian Deaf Sport Committee to promote physical activity among children with hearing impairments through e-sports.

Dalia Ilevičienė, Dean of the Faculty of Business at Kauno kolegija HEI, does not doubt the benefits of the newly established cooperation.

‘Modern technologies and digital culture are an integral part of modern life, therefore, Kauno kolegija HEI, when preparing sports management specialists, includes e-sports components in the study content. This cooperation will provide mutual benefits: for students – to get acquainted with the real work environment and solve real business challenges, and for Vilnius Wolves Twinsbet club – to hear the innovative and creative approach of young future specialists to solving problems. We are pleased with the opportunity to work with Vilnius Wolves Twinsbet and help students integrate into the professional sports industry,’ said D. Ilevičienė.

The new partnership was also welcomed by Wolves Twinsbet project manager Titas Servutas, who drew attention to the educational benefits of e-sports.

‘With this cooperation with Kauno kolegija HEI, we want to show young people that e-sports are not just entertainment. They can become an excellent educational tool that helps develop teamwork and work, strategic thinking, intuition and, of course, technological competencies. In the modern world, these are very important personal competencies. We are happy to be able to achieve these goals together with our new partners. This gives us a new opportunity to share our experience and promote the growth of young talents in our country,’ said the club representative.

The partnership between Kauno kolegija HEI and Vilnius Wolves is an important step that promotes innovative educational methods and the development of the sports industry in Lithuania. It is expected that in the future this cooperation will open up new opportunities for both students and the country’s rapidly growing e-sports community.
