At the beginning of the new academic year, the community of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) was invited to a meeting where the achievements of the previous academic year, the structural changes after the reorganisation of Alytus Higher Education Institution and it becoming the Alytus Faculty of Kauno kolegija HEI, the admission results, the change in the structure of lecturers’ positions, project activities, the awaiting changes after becoming part of the European university alliance UNINOVIS DATA for L.I.F.E. were presented.

‘Today we meet to start a new academic year – a time when our entire community renews itself and prepares for another journey into the world of knowledge, creativity and personal development. This year is special for us because the Alytus Faculty team joined the Kauno kolegija HEI community. This move brings new ideas and energy, strengthens our academic community and enriches our work together. We believe that this merger will open up new opportunities, provide space for creativity and cooperation, and allow us to share experience and grow together,’ said the Director of Kauno kolegija HEI Dr Andrius Brusokas.

He pointed out that another important step awaits the organisation this year – the preparation of a new strategy. The Director of Kauno kolegija HEI welcomed talented, motivated and competent professionals in their fields who chose this higher education institution as an employer during the lecturer competitions that took place. Dr A. Brusokas addressed all the employees, encouraging them to be active in their professional activities not only in Kauno kolegija HEI but also outside of it, as in a few years Kauno kolegija HEI will seek to become a University of Applied Sciences.

‘I am sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to the realisation of the common goals last academic year – both those who supported with confidence and those who constructively criticised. I believe that what we have accomplished together is a solid foundation for further progress. The future is in our hands and it depends only on us how Kauno kolegija HEI will look tomorrow,’ said the Director of Kauno kolegija HEI.
