From 23 to 27 July, the FISU World University Triathlon Championship will be held in Tartu, Estonia. On the first day, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution’s (HEI) athlete Deimantė Žurinskaitė won four bronze medals.

In the weight category up to 52 kg, the athlete took third place overall. She was third in squats, third in bench presses and third in deadlifts.

‘We wanted more participants in the competition, but we fought with as many as there were,’ said D. Žurinskaitė after the competition.

‘The result is satisfying. I knew I could do better, but we are trying to do everything with quality and the best for today to achieve a result and win medals,’ she added.
