International Business Study course

The course is designed for undergraduate students who study full time or come on exchange programmes to the Faculty of Business. Exchange students have to choose no less than 15 ECTS from core subjects in International Business and free electives according to the needs of their study plans.

15 50% – Mid-semester tests; 50% – Integrated project and its presentation The aim of the study subject is to clarify the concept of export and import management situation in companies; to understand the nature of international trade, its characteristics and structure, policy forms and methods of the present conditions, using examples of practical application of theories and analysis of the situation; to find out main information about logistics, its functioning peculiarities; to master and exploit the basic theoretical and practical knowledge in managing the logistic processes and be able to implement them in practice; to boost negotiation skills in international business development and international marketing. The purpose of the module is to create prerequisites for students to acquire the knowledge and abilities in economics, business mathematics and statistics, and applied research required for business management studies and to meet the needs of future professional activities. When studying this module, economic problems are analyzed by applying mathematical and statistical analysis tools, enabling to make calculations and forecast-based decisions in specific organizational situations.
