On the beginning of the winter, December 5 – 9, students from the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social work and Nursing study programmes and lecturers from the Rehabilitation Department took part in a project “Soft skills in rehabilitation team” of the Erasmus+ programme BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) at Kaunas University of Applied Sciences. The project partners – teachers and students from Tallinn Health Care College (Estonia), Daugavpils University, P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia and University of Social Sciences in Lublin (Poland) joined the project.
This time the topic of the project was Interdisciplinary Work in Team with Amputees. The main aim of the project was to bring together specialists and lecturers from different fields to share their knowledge and improve skills on rehabilitation issues when working with amputees:

- Teamwork skills, team roles (multicultural aspects).
- Psychological climate/safety.
- Communication
- IT in teamwork.
- Speaking a foreign language with a client.
- Care of a Amputee patient
Each day of the project was starting with a team – building exercise and different workshops. At the end of the project week interdisciplinary teams of students presented their joint works as a final task. Good teamwork, perfect mood and multicultural aspects created a wonderful climate and new ideas for future collaboration.
