During 2020, the community of the KUAS was eagerly preparing the new strategy of our university for 2021–2025. As of today, the preparation of the publication has been completed and anyone is welcome to familiarize with the strategy of the KUAS more conveniently.
According to Inga Stravinskienė, Head of Management and Quality Unit, it was not as simple as it may seem to bring the whole community together for a discussion during the pandemic. “Throughout the creation of the new strategic directions for the activities of the university, we sought to involve the community of the KUAS as much as possible. The insights of students, lecturers, employees, the feedback of the social partners and proposed directions of cooperation, and finally the demands of the society reflected in the latest research both nationally and internationally aided us to form a new strategy for the KUAS for the following five years, ”said Stravinskienė.
Additionally, Stravinskienė says that in the conducted surveys amongst employees and students, a firm opinion was expressed on the adequacy of the mission, vision and values set out in the strategy of the KUAS 2020. Moreover, special training on strategic planning was organized for strategy development groups in the spring. Based on the analysis of the situation of the KUAS and the results of research, the strategic groups were organizing sessions online and face-to-face as well as generating ideas for the future of the university all year round. “We are elated with the active involvement, invaluable insights and assistance of our university community in the preparation of the new KUAS strategy. Thus, we would sincerely like to thank the entire community”, expressed gratitude Stravinskienė.
The strategy of the KUAS for 2021–2025, with the approval of the Academic Council (Resolution No. (2.2) -3-53 of 23 November 2020), was approved by the College Council on 3 December (Resolution No. (2.1) -2-23).
