Have you ever heard the term “mentoring”? Well, if not, it is about time you have. Mentorship is a connection between an experienced mentor and another student who wants to grow and improve at university and later on in the professional field. It is one of the most efficient ways to transfer your accumulated experience, skills, and knowledge to the less experienced.
The main goal of mentors is to help new foreign students to adapt and adjust in academic as well as in cultural activities in communication with the International Relations Department. Your duties as a mentor may be to organize various events, encourage foreign students’ involvement in the life of KUAS and help them solve arising issues and problems. In addition, before the arrival of new students, you may help with migration, dormitory, transportation issues or even share your impressions on Kaunas city and what they might expect.
Perhaps you have gained invaluable experience or are familiar with different cultures? Or perhaps it is not your first time participating in Erasmus or even Erasmus+ programmes? Then we would like to invite you to share your knowledge and internationality with other students of KUAS. If you feel that mentorship might be your new passion – feel free to write an e-mail at erasmus@go.kauko.lt to hear more about the mentoring program.
Naturally, your contribution will not go unnoticed. If you decide to join a team of mentors, you will have the opportunity to make new acquaintances, train your skills, gain more experience as well as receive invitations to events and/or gifts from KUAS.
