A lecturer from the Department of Rehabilitation at Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution and Vice President of ENOTHE Giedrė Sasnauskienė participated in the international ENOTHE annual meeting on 24–26 October. This is one of the most important events for the occupational therapy higher education community in Europe, bringing together experts, educators, and students from various countries with a common goal – to strengthen the future of the profession. The Occupational Therapy study programme at Kauno kolegija is a member of ENOTHE (European Network for Occupational Therapy in Higher Education). This year, the event gathered more than 400 participants, including a strong representation from Canada, the United States, as well as several participants from Chile and India.
This year’s meeting was especially significant as ENOTHE celebrated its 30th anniversary. The milestone highlighted three decades of collaboration, innovation, and progress in shaping occupational therapy education across Europe and beyond.
Kauno kolegija lecturer was entrusted with a highly honorable mission – to lead the opening ceremony and thus introduce the theme of the event and its key directions to all attendees. This role not only highlighted the leadership of the Kauno kolegija representative in the international context but also enabled active dialogue between higher education institutions and partners.
During the event, many valuable professional contacts were established, innovative teaching practices were shared, and new opportunities for international projects were identified – from joint scientific research to student and staff exchange programmes.
We are proud that members of the Kauno kolegija community actively contribute to the growth of the occupational therapy profession in Europe and help shape its future on an international level.
