Sales and Marketing is the study programme that encourages students to actively engage in the learning process by combining creativity with analytical thinking and by fostering close collaboration with lecturers from the very beginning of their studies. In order to consolidate and deepen their knowledge, students undertake internships in marketing, sales, and communication departments of local and international companies, where they gain practical experience in brand management, customer relationship building, and data-driven decision-making. Students also have the opportunity to gain international experience by participating in study exchanges or internships in countries such as Spain, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Finland, and the Czech Republic, as well as by taking part in international projects and blended intensive programmes (BIPs).
The aim of the Sales and Marketing study programme is to prepare sales and marketing managers who are able to apply in practice the integrated knowledge, skills and abilities needed to offer and make creative, value-based decisions for consumers in response to a changing business environment.
Language of instruction: 100% English (a specific level of English is required for this course).
A ten-point cumulative assessment system for assessing knowledge and skills is used. Methods of assessment: integrated individual/group projects, assessment (oral, written), test, preparation and presentation of a case study, individual/group project presentation, preparation and delivery of presentations, presentation of individual assignments, simulations, final thesis etc.
The Sales and Marketing study programme is taught by active professionals from the fields of sales, marketing, and business management. Kauno Kolegija Higher Education Institution Faculty of Business collaborates closely with companies, associate structures, and other social partners to ensure the programme meets labour market needs and regional development goals.
Employers contribute to the study process by offering internships, giving guest lectures, and participating in joint projects, providing students with practical experience and career opportunities during their studies. Students also benefit from visiting lecturers from foreign universities, gaining international perspectives and insights from experts in countries such as USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain.
Studies are based on interactive and practice-oriented activities that develop problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking. Favourable learning environment encourages students to actively manage their study process, reflect on their performance, and apply innovative solutions.
Lectures, seminars, discussions, practical assignments, case studies, role-plays, brainstorming sessions, teaching projects in business companies, video analysis, situation modelling, debates, group work, and presentations are all integrated to ensure students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
Students can participate in 1–2 semester study exchanges and/or internships in various countries, including Spain, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Finland, the Czech Republic, and others.
Students can take part in international projects or blended intensive programmes (BIPs). Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) for Sales and Marketing students focus on developing practical international business competencies through teamwork and real-life case studies. These short-term international projects bring together students and lecturers from different countries to work on joint assignments related to marketing strategies, market research, export potential, and consumer behaviour.
Students undertake two internships in companies operating in the fields of sales, marketing, and business management. Internships take place in a variety of organizations – from marketing and advertising agencies to trade and service companies, both in the public and private sectors. Active cooperation between Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution and business partners ensures that students complete their internships in companies that match their career interests and current market trends.
After successful completion of studies, the graduates will be ready to in marketing, communications departments of various types of organisations, advertising and creative agencies, will have skills and practical experience necessary for the organisation of sales and marketing activities, will be able to be brand managers, sales managers, marketing specialists in the companies both of public and private sectors as well as setting up and running business.
The graduates are entitled to a credit transfer system for entering level one university study programmes, they can choose Master programmes. The continuation of studies is possible in the study programmes in the field of marketing, business, management in Lithuanian and/or foreign universities.
