The Fashion Design study programme taught at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution has a long tradition of preparing fashion designers who have knowledge in fashion principles and are able to respond to market needs. Well-known designers as Juozas Statkevičius, Laura Dailidėnienė and others have graduated this study programme.

Many of them first presented their collection of clothes, which are now admired by the most sophisticated fashion lovers, at the international fashion show “Apkalbos”, which has been organised for more than two decades by the coordinator of the Fashion Design Study Programme, Stella Justina Kasperavičienė, and the programme’s lecturers.

The organisers aim for the event to be a real fashion festival for the general public, which never lacks gourmet spices, and at the same time to promote fashion as an art form, to showcase the work of young fashion designers and to discover new talents.

We invite young fashion designers to walk onto the catwalk of “Apkalbos 2023” and present their unique collections of clothes. Fill in the entry form (parts I and II are required) by 15 April and send it to: apkalbos@go.kauko.lt

“Apkalbos 2023” will take place on 1 June at 7 p.m. at the restaurant “Sala” of Žalgiris Arena (Karaliaus Mindaugo ave. 50, Kaunas). Information about tickets will be announced soon.  Follow the news on the Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution website.

The event will be photographed and filmed, so please be aware that you may be featured in photographs or videos of the event, which may be posted in publicly accessible places such as social networks, the media, and in further communication about the event.
