During this period, about 100 artists and creators of other visual arts from different foreign countries have participated in it: Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Norway, Israel, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The plein-air tradition, which has been going on for more than a decade, is being nurtured to promote the creation of an international community of artists on Owl Hill, where the Kaunas School of Arts, which was the only art school in Lithuania during the interwar period, was founded exactly a hundred years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u2018Strong friendships between artists formed during the plein-air grow into interesting creative collaborative projects and exhibitions,\u2019 emphasises A. Martinaitis. The plein-air participants also contribute to spreading the word about Kaunas and the plein-air held here outside Lithuania, increasing awareness and contributing to the growth of the international artist community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Each organised plein-air is different in its theme, thus encouraging participating artists to creative experiments, games, and discoveries.
