The Faculty of Business of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) is one of the largest business and management training centres, uniting around 120 lecturers and 1 200 students. About 500 specialists <\/span>who are<\/span> ready for the labour market complete their studies every year.<\/span><\/p>\n Students who have chosen to study at the Faculty of <\/span>Business,<\/span> apply the acquired theoretical knowledge during practical <\/span>classes,<\/span> and<\/span> do internships in Lithuanian and foreign companies and organisations, laying a solid foundation for their further career. The high quality of studies <\/span>is also shown<\/span> by the data of the 2023 magazine<\/span> \u201c<\/span>Reitinga<\/span>i\u201d<\/span>:<\/span> out<\/span> of 11 study programmes implemented at the Faculty of Business, <\/span>10<\/span> were evaluated<\/span>, which ranked 1st or 2nd in the ranking of study areas.<\/span><\/p>\n The relevance of studies <\/span>is ensured<\/span> by a strong network of <\/span>partners<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The aim is for the faculty to become an intellectual space where mutual respect between students and lecturers prevails, an academic relationship based on professionalism and openness, which develops community spirit, a socially responsible person and a specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018B<\/span>usiness representatives participate in the study process from the first to the last step. <\/span>The first step is <\/span>the development of<\/span> a study programme, in which we involve the social partners, asking them what kind of employees they need; the last step is participating at the <\/span>students’<\/span> thesis defence, where the main assessment is written by business representatives.<\/span> There are significantly fewer representatives of the faculty compared to representatives from business,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>shares Dalia Ilevi\u010dien\u0117, Dean of the Faculty of Business.<\/span><\/p>\n She points out that every year <\/span>the<\/span> committees, which also include social partners, follow tendencies <\/span>and<\/span> when<\/span> changes are needed, business representatives cooperate with the faculty, initiating changes in existing study programmes or proposing new ones.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018T<\/span>hose who graduate from Kauno kolegija HEI receive a professional <\/span>bachelor’s<\/span> degree. This means that graduates are ready to start working right away,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>says the Dean of the Faculty of Business.<\/span><\/p>\n
<\/a>The faculty community actively develops social partnerships with companies: their representatives <\/span>are invited<\/span> to give <\/span>lectures,<\/span> and<\/span> jointly create and evaluate study programmes and <\/span>students’<\/span> thesis. The faculty has created a favourable environment for studies<\/span>, the<\/span> auditoriums <\/span>are equipped<\/span> with modern equipment and <\/span>technologies,<\/span> and<\/span> the latest literature in Lithuanian and foreign languages.<\/span><\/p>\n
