{"id":7658,"date":"2024-07-02T07:35:40","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T09:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kaunokolegija.lt\/en\/?p=7658"},"modified":"2024-07-02T07:35:40","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T09:35:40","slug":"the-department-of-education-implements-an-international-project-that-breaks-stereotypes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kaunokolegija.lt\/en\/the-department-of-education-implements-an-international-project-that-breaks-stereotypes\/","title":{"rendered":"The Department of Education implements an international project that breaks stereotypes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Representatives of the Department of Education of the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) Edita Dulkinien\u0117, Edita Ivinkina, Jolanta St\u016bronait\u0117, Jurgita Paulauskait\u0117 and Asta Jakimavi\u010dien\u0117 together with national and international partners from 31<sup>st<\/sup> May until 30<sup>th<\/sup> November implements the project <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Overcoming Societal Stereotypes by Enhancing the Professional Identity of Education Students<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> financed by the State Studies Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The project aims to develop critical thinking, which helps to objectively assess the content of professional identity; to help future educators construct and accumulate professional experience, gradually realising what it means to be a teacher; to reduce the stereotypical assessment of the teaching profession and to develop the awareness of future teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the implementation of the project, different activities were organised, in which more than fifty students of the Pre-School and Pre-Primary Education study programme as well as students from Panev\u0117\u017eys, Klaip\u0117da Higher Education Institutions, Klaip\u0117da University, and foreign institutions have participated.
