24-25 October, 2019 Jolanta Valiaugienė, the Head of International Relations Services of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences, participates in Erasmus+ contact seminar with HEIs  from Western Balkan countries organized in  Tirana (Albania) by the European Commission . The seminar aims to promote Erasmus+ cooperation between  the HEIs from the Programme countries (EU + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, Turkey, Northern Macedonia) and the Western Balkans countries, not belonging to the Programme (Albania, Bosnia Hercogovina, Kosovo, Montenegro).
Lithuania is also represented by representatives of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and the Education Exchange Support Foundation. The European Commission pays particular attention to the development of the Western Balkans region, including higher education by providing additional   funding and supporting various initiatives, e.g.  such as the Western Balkans Erasmus + Alumni Association, etc.
Therefore, the purpose of the Kaunas University of Applied Sciences  representation in the contact seminar is to expand contacts with  higher education institutions in the Western Balkans opening new possibilities for Erasmus+ exchanges and participation in the projects.
