- have knowledge and ability to apply it in the planning and performing search for professional information necessary for pharmaceutical activity in various fields of health promotion;
- have knowledge of medicines and properties of medicinal substances, used in the manufacture of them, technologies of medicines production, ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice and perform physical, chemical, biological and microbiological testing of medicinal products.
- have knowledge of the effect of medicinal preparations on the body and ability to explain the safe use of medicinal products and pharmacy goods;
- be able to perform pharmaceutical activity-oriented applied research, analyze the results and apply them in solving issues of pharmacy practice;
- be able, under the supervision of a pharmacist, to manufacture, package and label extemporaneous medicinal preparations, ensuring their quality;
- be able, under the supervision of a pharmacist, to determine the proper filling in of a prescription, and make decisions on the options of sale (dispensing) of the medicinal preparations, to select non-prescription medicines, to provide pharmaceutical information about medicinal products, to choose pharmacy goods according to the needs of residents;
- be able to apply legal and professional ethic requirements, associated with pharmaceutical activities, and to implement decisions for achievement of marketing and communication goals;
- be able to collaborate with health care professionals and other persons, to work individually and in a team, to take responsibility for the quality of own performance and for that of the subordinate personnel, following the civil and ethical principles of the profession;
- be able to clearly and convincingly convey the knowledge of professional practice and science to learners;
- be able to make decisions and to perceive moral responsibility for one’s own activity and the impact of its outcomes on the welfare of society, its economic and cultural development, and on the environment, to critically assess own professional practice, to reflect on own professional development, being aware of the importance of lifelong learning.
