Kauno kolegija is immensely dedicated to international cooperation. Our institution has always been in the leading position by internationality comparing to other Lithuanian universities of applied sciences. We have partners in 33 countries all over the world and over 200 Erasmus+ interinstitutional agreements.

This semester students from Belgium, Bulgaria, China, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey have decided to study in Kauno kolegija. Even though the opening ceremony of the new academic year was held on the 3rd of September, these students have started their school year a week earlier, on the 27th of August.

International students were introduced to the campus, the coordinators of the Department of International Relations, the mentors, and the basics of Lithuanian language. After dealing with all the domestic problems and documentation with the help of mentors, the students enjoyed tours around the Old Town of Kaunas, Trakai Island Castle and Užutrakis Manor. What is more, they had the chance not only to visit the historical places, but to get acquainted with Lithuanian cuisine too. Students tried kibinai, balandėliai (cabbage rolls), buckwheat pancakes, fried bread, and baked cottage cheese. Also, they shared their national meals and made presentations of their home countries.

This week the international students attended the opening ceremony of the new academic year and there are much more events awaiting for them.
