2000 – Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences established by merging the School of Technology and the School of Economics, post-secondary education institutions that had shown the best performance results in the national selection process and were among the first schools in Lithuania that were granted the right to provide higher non-university education.

2003 – Finalized structure of Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences.

2005 – Institutional accreditation of Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences completed with excellent evaluation by international expert panel.

2006 – Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences started the implementation of the first study infrastructure development project funded by the European Union for training geographic information system specialists.

2008 – Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences became the winner of Quality Competition held by Education Exchanges Support Foundation. The first prize was received for Erasmus student and academic staff exchange programme.

2010 – Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences started international studies.

2011 and 2013 – Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences ranked first in the rating of Lithuanian colleges organized by the analytical magazine Veidas.

2012 – The groundbreaking for the new academic building  symbolizing the beginning of university campus.

6 – The number of university graduates and faculty members who received national awards in 1990–2011.

14 – The number of academic buildings owned by the faculties and centres of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences.

95 – The number of teachers who held degrees in science and art in 2012.

~ 20 000 – The number of students who graduated from Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences until 2012.

LTL 33 million – Investment from EU funds and other sources of funding before 2007 for the modernization of education and infrastructure in Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences.

300 – The average number of university students involved in international exchange programmes every year.
