Developing cooperation with Jordanian HEI

Representatives of KAUNO KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences (KK) Agne Narvilaite, Incoming students‘ and teachers‘ coordinator of the Unit of International studies, and Povilas Beseckas, Projects coordinator at the Faculty of Technology and Landscaping, visited The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 30 October until 2 November, 2016.
The main purpose of the visit was to participate in the International Conference and Exhibition on Higher Education for Middle East „TA‘LEEM 2016“ and also to find partner institutions for participation under Erasmus + Credit mobility projects from South-Mediterranean region countries.
During the visit representatives of KK have visited The Middle East University and had discussion about possibilities to cooperate under Erasmus + Credit mobility projects, applied research and development projects.
The Middle East University is a national educational research, consulting, non-profit foundation, owned by the Company of Middle East University which is administered by executive board.
A large percentage of the university members are PhD holders.
Delegacy of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions and The Education Exchanges Support Foundation representatives had a possibility to visit Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan and University of Petra which is located in West Amman with its friendly campus houses and seven thousand undergraduate and graduate students.
The programme of the last day was designed for contact seminar of Lithuanian and Jordanian higher Education institutions. There were 30 participating institutions – 9 HEI from Lithuania and 21HEI from The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
